Training your Cat
Cats generally dont like to do tricks like dogs do. They are less obedient and more independent. You can
try to teach them tricks but only at a young age. You will need to train your cat to do essential things around the house, like litter training and cat-flap training. |

When you decide to let your cat go outside on its own, a cat flap can come in very handy. It will give your cat
the freedom of going where it wants.
When fitting the cat flap, make sure it is about 15cm off the floor. This is about the right height for a cat to
step through.

Kittens from as young as 4 weeks can be litter trained. You can buy litter trays and cat litter from most pet
shops. When you are training a cat to use a litter tray, if your cat relieves itself outside the tray, never rub its nose in the mess. This tells the cat that this is the toilet and it will return.
