The Egyptian Mau are quite alike to pictures of Ancient Egyptian cats drawn on walls of tombs. They are the fastest of all domestic cats. They can run up to 30 mph.   

The European Burmese's came about becasue breeders cross-breeded Original Burmese's with British Short-hairs and Siamese.

The Exotic cat appeared during cross breedings with Persian cats and other short-hairs. Later, the cats were cross-bred again with regular short-hairs to create the picture you see on the right. Some of the originally bred Exotic's are still being bred but are rarer and more alike to the Persians from which they came.
